About

I'm Tress, the hands and heart behind Golden Hour.  I am a one-woman operation & create tiny batches of bags, wallets, jewelry & clothing, by hand, in my Montana workshop.

I’ve been sewing and designing for as long as I can remember. What began as a childhood hobby grew into a lifelong practice, and I now see making by hand as a kind of human superpower  — the ability to turn raw materials into something useful, lasting, and original. My work is rooted in traditional construction, natural materials, and skills refined over decades at the sewing machine and workbench.

Each piece I create is made slowly and intentionally, either in very small batches or as a one-of-a-kind. I limit production by design, allowing time for detail, handwork, and thoughtful decisions at every stage. I draw inspiration from old school western culture, free-spirited living & nature.

When I am not in my workshop, you can find me in a deep state of reverence playing in the Montana outdoors, usually with my husband, Chris & our 2 Aussies.
